Agios Antonios, Tragari, Trypiti, Lidario, Gournias, Panagia, Ftilio and Kalami are the beaches to visit.
The only settlement, Agios Efstratios (or Ai-Stratis), has beautiful houses.
You can find pensions, rooms to let and some taverns serving fresh fish, seafood and the famous chesse “mizithra” of fine quality.
On 15th August (Assumption of the Virgin Mary), a festival is held in the village square of the island.

Agios Efstratios is a small remote island, 21 nautical miles south of Lemnos.
It has a total area of 49 square kilometers and 30 kilometers of coastline.
The highest peaks of the island are Simadi (298 meters), Agios Alexis and Profitis Elias.
Its landscape is volcanic and its only settlement is Agios Efstratios (or Ai-Stratis).
The island was named after Saint Efstratios, who lived and dead on the island in the 19th c. as an exile.
Agios Efstratios was inhabited from ancient times.
